# 1 — Recognising When Thinking Leaves the Room

After the orientation, the next step is simply to notice.

Thinking rarely disappears in obvious ways.
The room can look engaged.
People can be participating.
Everything can feel successful.

And thinking can still be absent.

In this step, you’ll start to recognise the subtle signals that thinking has left the room, even when everything appears to be working.

Listen, and notice what becomes obvious.
